 Dead. Seventeen-year-old Shawn Turner no longer belongs to the world of the living. Armed without a heartbeat, he starts his next life as a reaper. Forced into living below ground, as to not disturb the living, Shawn must collect the souls of the recently deceased. 

After going through all the trainings and traditions that Wayward Academy instills in its new reapers, Shawn isn't sure he can handle the honor given to him. 

Dying so young, Shawn never got to make the impact he wanted. So, when an opportunity opens in the afterlife he has a choice to make. Does he stay in his lane as a reaper, or go out of his way to make a difference?
